Systematic coordination of events and conferences for both internal users and external guests Advising event organizers regarding concept and feasibility Assisting in budget planning and monitoring Administrating event venues and facilities on campus Interfacing between event organizers and relevant departments Overseeing of all logistical and technical aspects and support crews Assisting in marketing and promotion of events and facilities Collaboration with Infrastructure and Housing for conference accommodations Monitoring of compliance with milestones and quality control Developing and improving processes and workflows of event and conference support systems.

Jacobs University Bremen invites applications for a position in Guest Services as Events Coordinator (f/m/d) (full time, maternity leave - limited for 12 months) Job ID JU-20-43 The successful applicant will be responsible for: Major duties include: Systematic coordination of events and conferences for both internal users and external guests Advising event organizers regarding concept and feasibility Assisting in budget planning and monitoring Administrating event venues and facilities on campus Interfacing between event organizers and relevant departments Overseeing of all logistical and technical aspects and support crews Assisting in marketing and promotion of events and facilities Collaboration with Infrastructure and Housing for conference accommodations Monitoring of compliance with milestones and quality control Developing and improving processes and workflows of event and conference support systems. Qualifications: A proven experience in event and conference management; Passionate about working intensively in an international educational environment; Highly organized, self-motivated Creative problem solve in pressure situations Flexible schedule to support some events on weekends and on weekday evenings; Good interpersonal and intercultural skills; Good oral and written communication skills in English and German.
