Application Engineer for Virtualization (f/m/d)
Aufgaben:
As an Application Engineer in a global team, you will contribute to delivering cutting-edge software and hardware solutions for simulation and virtualization. This role combines technical expertise and innovative problem-solving. You will work collaboratively across teams to design, develop, test, and deploy state-of-the-art solutions like AVL Virtual Studio and AVL Route Studio. Deliver AVL's standard and customized software and hardware solutions within customer project
Develop and enhance virtualization methodologies to improve user experience
Work on applications for conventional and new systems, such as ICE, HEV, BEV, and FCV
Implement standardized solutions based on AVL's product portfolio
Conduct R&D activities based on insights gained from customer projects in the virtualization area
Qualifikationen:
Completed education (Secondary Technical College, University or University of Applied Sciences, University of Technology, or comparable) with a focus on Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
At least 3 years of experience in automotive engineering, co-simulation, or software development
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and proficiency in programming languages like Python, C, and Matlab/Simulink
Familiarity with software testing, debugging techniques, and version control tools (e.g., Git, SVN)
Experience with front-end frameworks like Angular, React, or Vue (preferably React) and HiL systems (e.g., dSpace, NI, ETAS, Speedgoat, Vector)
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, strong teamwork skills with an independent and structured working style
Business fluent knowledge in English and Basic knowledge in German
Willingness to travel up to 10 percent (worldwide)
